Watchdogs

Staffordshire Trading Standards run a Watchdog Scheme to help ensure people in the County are not being ripped off! Watchdogs receive alerts and can help out with projects such as this website, filming videos and designing a CD-Rom.

At the moment we have 70 young people who are Watchdogs. We are going to set up a forum so these young Watchdogs can meet and tell Trading Standards what issues they should look at. So far projects looking at skateboards and ringtones have come from young Watchdog suggestions.

So, if you would like to help protect your friends and family from rogue traders become a Watchdog! Are there issues you think we should be looking into? If you are involved with a youth group or school council, give us a ring and we will come and talk to your group about how to get involved.
